Why Choose Hasan Zawaideh Camp
Hasan Zawaideh Camp is one of Wadi Rum's largest and most established desert camps, with 85 tents and over a decade of experience welcoming guests from around the world. Located near the entrance to the Wadi Rum Protected Area and reachable by private vehicle, the camp covers a wide spectrum of traveler types: couples, honeymooners, families, groups, and solo adventurers. It is best known for its iconic Martian Bubble Tents, transparent domes that let you sleep under 360-degree views of the Wadi Rum night sky, named after the desert's fame as the filming location of The Martian.
The camp has been run by the Zawaideh family since 2013. Owner Hasan and his team are consistently praised in reviews for their genuine hospitality and attentiveness. Evenings center around a communal campfire with traditional Bedouin music and entertainment. The zarb dinner (optional at 10 JOD per person) involves chicken and vegetables slow-cooked underground in a traditional oven and is one of the most frequently highlighted experiences by returning guests.
With 19 Martian Bubble Tents, 8 dedicated Deluxe Family Tents, a one-of-a-kind King Suite, and 57 Deluxe Tents, Hasan Zawaideh Camp can accommodate virtually any travel style or group size. All tours and activities are organized directly by the camp, from jeep safaris and camel rides to hot air balloon flights, buggy tours, and zipline.
