Orbit Camp is located on the edge of the Wadi Rum Protected Area, providing a convenient and accessible base for exploring the surrounding desert. Run by Sami and his family from the local Bedouin community, the camp offers transparent bubble tents that let you fall asleep watching the stars and wake up to spectacular desert sunrises. The camp is just a one-minute walk from the protected area boundary, and all jeep safari tours take place inside the protected area, so you still get the full Wadi Rum experience. Free parking is available on site, and the camp is easily accessible by small cars — no 4x4 needed.
All bubble tents feature air conditioning, heating, soundproofing, private bathroom with hot shower, fireplace, and a private terrace with mountain views. The camp offers a traditional Bedouin buffet dinner with vegetables, meat, and chicken cooked underground, plus a generous breakfast. Sami and his team also organise jeep safari tours (priced per jeep, not per person), camel rides, stargazing experiences with traditional Bedouin tea, and hot air balloon rides. Evenings are spent around the campfire drinking Bedouin tea and stargazing. Orbit Camp has earned its reputation as one of Wadi Rum's most welcoming and well-run camps.

Jeep Safari Tours
Sami and his team organise guided jeep safari tours inside the Wadi Rum Protected Area, covering iconic landmarks, sunset spots, and hidden valleys. All tours include pickup from the camp. Prices are per jeep, not per person.
Traditional Bedouin Dinner
Orbit Camp offers a traditional Bedouin buffet dinner featuring vegetables, meat, and chicken cooked underground in the traditional way. Dinner is included in the bubble tent price (65 JOD/couple). For non-staying guests or extra meals, dinner costs 10 JOD per person. The camp also provides complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day.
