Why Choose Rumshines Camp
Rumshines Camp is an authentic Bedouin desert camp located in the Sunset Place of the Wadi Rum Protected Area, 12 km from Rum Village. Here you truly feel apart from civilization as you drink in the vibrant colours of the desert. The red and white sands are best viewed directly from the camp at sunset, making this one of the most scenic locations in all of Wadi Rum.
This is a traditional Bedouin camp in the truest sense: all tents are handmade from goat hair, the way Bedouins have built their shelters for centuries. A cosy communal tent and various open-air seating areas are at your disposal to relax, share stories, and enjoy the silence of the desert. There are no distractions here; just the desert, the sky, and the warmth of Bedouin hospitality.
What makes Rumshines Camp truly unique is the option to sleep outside under the stars or in a natural cave situated above the camp. These are experiences you will not find at most Wadi Rum camps. Owner Khaled and his team offer a genuine, unplugged desert experience with jeep tours, camel rides, and hiking; all at an excellent price that includes dinner, breakfast, and transfers from Rum Village.
Accommodation
All tents at Rumshines Camp are traditional goat-hair Bedouin tents with double and single beds. The camp has shared bathroom facilities. You can also sleep outside under the stars or in the cave above the camp. Click on the tent type for details and photos.
